August 2, 2008:  Our band received an award from the IPA for the best CD of 2007 and the best song "Kiss of Fire".  Thank you to all the IPA electors.

GRAMMY SHOW 2008

The Grammy's are history now. We did not win the trophy but 4th Nomination is an honour and we got a lot of complimentary media coverage for it. We had a great time in Los Angeles. We partied with many other nominees especially with the guys and gals from our category. Alex Meixner, Bubba Hernandez, Ann Marie, Jeff Barnes, Walter Ostanek, Brian Sklar and their entourages. Our schedule was like this: On Wednesday Feb. 6th we went to the ELLEN SHOW, on Thursday we had a beautiful reception for all the Canadian Grammy Nominees at the Canadian Consulate - very classy event - Jennifer Lynn Communications did a fantastic job arranging all of it. Thanks. On Thursday night we went to a local bar to see Alex and Bubba perform. Friday was sightseeing day and we even took the LA Metro to Hollywood for a dinner and stroll on Hollywood Blvd. Saturday was the pre Grammy party and life time achievements awards at the Wilshire Ebel Theatre. Sunday, 8 AM mass at the Cathedral (very large, modern & impressive building), Afternoon was the pretelecast awards and then Sunday evening the Grammy show and then post Grammy party. Busy busy 5 days. Our hotel Westin Bonaventure was very elegant. Great memories. Thank you Lord. BTW - Congrat's to Jimmy Sturr for winning his 17th Grammy. 

We will be recording a new CD this year, it'll be called "MY POLISH ROOTS".

On Sunday June 10/07 We had a nice get together at Ricky Malkiewicz's place to celebrate Rick and Lori's 25th wedding anniversary.  It was nice to have a big jam session with: Ricky and Stan Malkiewicz, Ed Humeniuk, Ed Guca, John, Greg & Tony Winiarz, Mike Papuga, Henry Szarota, Mike Machulec and Ed Grzesik.
